Cacao is a sacred plant medicine that has been used for 1,000's of years by indigenous communities of Central and South America. This Cacao blend derives from a jungle near the edge of the Sacred Valley in Peru, a sacred place of the ancient Incas. It is grown, harvested, fermented, toasted, and ground into paste by a local Quechuan family in honor of Quechuan tradition with the intention that their Cacao be used for sacred purposes. Hand processing in the community ensures sacredness and high medicinal quality is maintained.

Cacao has natural mood-enhancing qualities that can open your heart and allow you to experience feelings of love, joy, happiness, and connection. It contains bliss molecules serotonin and anandamide which can reduce anxiety and promote feelings of joy. In Ceremony it has supported me through emotional blockages and facilitated emotional healing.  

Cacao contains active components of phenethylamine and theobromine which increase blood flow to the brain and promote focus. Cacao can be beautifully combined with a journaling practice or any creative endeavours as it can aid self-reflection and deep introspection.
